WEEK STARTING MONDAY THE 28TH OF JULY

MONDAY THE 28TH OF JULY

A busy day we are adding the photographs to greyhound data of our June 2024 saplings , we are doing the endless job of strimming weeds. We had a delivery of o’neils dog food . I have been to meet John nolans to get hounds marked up and the next job is to get all our waste away to the dump. This afternoon we have vet coming to update passports. On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on this weeks list at Doncaster Swift Jeromo.

TUESDAY THE 29TH OF JULY

A worm day and the day has gone well. I have been to the vets to get tonsils out of two hounds and also went to the supermarket to get our cleaning products. At the kennels we have just about got the strimming finished and weeding done . We now need all the mess away. We have been worming pups , trimming nails and doing a swap around with hounds . Two hounds on the way back from injury did good trials today Swift Hostile 28.98 at Sheffield  and Swift Magnison 26.81 at Oxford.

WEDNESDAY THE 30TH OF JULY

An overcast morning but i don’t think we will get rain . It will be a busy day we are going to tidy up the mess after the weeding which will take all day , worming pups , putting them into the rearing paddocks from the concrete yards . I need to go to cash and carry . Darren Ryan has been to the yard to collect hounds that are sold and Newcastle make their second signing in the transfer window.

THURSDAY THE 31TH OF JULY

We finally got the weeding finished and the tiding up done and there was a whole van load of hedge cuttings , muck and weeds. We continued on worming pups , cutting their nails and swapping them around from concrete yards into the rearing paddocks . We have loads of supplies to order and I was also at the supermarket getting food for pups.

FRIDAY THE 1ST OF AUGUST

The whole morning was took up emptying our waste of weeds and hedge cuttings and doing the last preparation work with our first bach of June 2024 saplings ready for schooling on Thursday the 7th of August at Kilkenny . We are a little behind on feeding but we will catch up this afternoon and the last job of the day is to get all the waste away to the dump as it is a bank holiday in Southern Ireland this weekend and the land fill will be closed from today on till Tuesday

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT ROMFORD MR JAMES AND AT SUNDERLAND UNANIMOUS KAI.

SATURDAY THE 2ND OF AUGUST

Its an overcast morning but I dont think we will get rain. We need meat, food for pups and bits and pieces from the hardware shop. Were getting the grass cut in our rearing paddocks so a busy day ahead. Its the start of the football season in England for the first and second division. Newcastle United are having a disastrous transfer window.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK AND IRELAND  WE HAD ONE WINNER  LAST NIGHT AT SUNDERLAND UNANIMOUS KAL. TONIGHT WE HAVE NINE RUNNERS IN IRELAND HARLEQUIN GEE UP AT SHELBOURNE PARK   AT CENTRAL PARK CHADDY BOY. AT DONCASTER SWIFT JEROMO AND BLUEY BOY. AT HOVE SWIFT JARVIS. AT MONMORE DUBAI KID. AT OXFORD MOCHICAN HEIDI , SWIFT GIDDY AND SWIFT OILEAN.

SUNDAY THE 3RD OF AUGUST 

It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will also get caught up on all the paperwork.

MORE GOOD NEW LAST NIGHT. Harlequin Coolio (previous name swift salad ) winning in Waterford out and gone in a smashing 28:68 winning by a wide 12 length margin after finding trouble in his first few races he finally got loose to show what he’s capable of ????
Harlequin gee up ( previous name Swift Imperial )  was also out and gone taking on some top class dogs in his AA0 550 semi final winning by 2 lengths in a nice 29:91 was great to see him back to winning ways after a few niggles ????

 

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK AND IRELAND WE HAD FOUR WINNER LAST NIGHT AT SHELBOURNE PARK HARLEQUIN GEE UP. AT OXFORD SWIFT OILEAN, AT HOVE SWIFT JARVIS AND AT  CENTRAL PARK CHADDY BOY. TODAY WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT TOWCESTER TOO WRIGHT.
