MONDAY THE 24TH OF NOVEMBER
Its 31 years today since i came to Ireland but it was the following April, before i moved into Lughill kennels. i am now 68 years old and i do not know where the time has gone, plus i have no thoughts of retirement.
Monday was a cold dry day and Padgie my head lad was back to work we had a Mountain of rubbish to go to the dump, We checked all the broods and we injected all the young pups with there first & second injection plus trimmed there nails and wormed them. The building work continued on. On this week greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on the list swift depot at Yarmouth.
TUESDAY THE 24TH OF NOVEMBER
Another cold day and we got up to a heavy frost the plans for today have all changed Owing to the Frost as we were going to prepare hounds for schooling but the Gallop is frozen. We will level the sand runs out and do Maintenance work and take 2 broods to Cully Stud.

WEDNESDAY THE 25TH OF NOVEMBER
An overcast day but I don’t think we will get rain, we are making boxes and beds for mothers and pups and the main job of the day is preparing some more hounds for schooling. We also have to go to dealz to get disinfect . plus a tidy up and I have a delivery in Ireland to do with a hound that is sold.
THURSDAY THE 26TH OF NOVEMBER
AS WE GET THE OPEN RACE RUNNERS WE WILL ADD THEM TO THE JOURNAL
The plans for Thursday we need meat , a trip to the cash and carry , parts for the 191 van plus the main job of the day trialing in Kilkenny . We have the vet coming early to do passports so a busy day.
FRIDAY THE 27TH OF NOVEMBER
The first job on Friday was getting the 2020 van through the DOE test. Thankfully it passed. We needed bits and pieces from the cash and carry, parts for the 2019 van and disinfectant from Dealz. Darragh Ryan collected the hounds from the yard that were sold and going to the UK. At the kennels we started doing a swap around with hounds from the garden paddocks into the kennels.

SATURDAY THE 28TH OF NOVEMBER
We have more building work to do, more swapping around with hounds, we need food for pups from the supermarket, the 2019 van is going to get serviced and we have meat to collect. Newcastle United have a massive game tonight.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT DUNSTALL PARK SWIFT OULEAN. TONIGHT WE HAVE SEVEN RUNNERS AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT KRAB , SWIFT DALLAS AND EARLS JESTER. AT HOVE SWIFT JARVIS. AT YARMOUTH CHARLIE LOVES ME , TOO WRIGHT AND SWIFT DEPOT.
SUNDAY THE 29TH OF NOVEMBER
It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. Other than that we have a brood to collect from Cuddys stud and paperwork to catch up on. Newcastle ran riot on the bank of Mersey with a brilliant display on their debut at Everton new home winning four one.
