MONDAY THE 1ST OF SEPTEMBER
The weather was good on Monday and the first job of the day was to collect fish. I got held up everywhere and was back late. At the kennels we changed beds and did maintenance work. Also we did a swap around of hounds with mother and pups and baby pups.
TUESDAY THE 2RD OF SEPTEMBER
AS WE GET THE OPEN RACE RUNNERS WE WILL ADD THEM TO THE WEEKLY JOURNAL
Tuesday was a very busy day we got all our waste away and we also had meat to collect. We had a delivery of meat and tripe. John O’Reilly was here checking hounds and the rest of day was took up preparing hounds for schooling.
WEDNESDAY THE 3RD OF SEPTEMBER
We have the weekly run to the vets and whilst we are there we need a load of supplies. At the kennels the whole day will be took up preparing hounds for schooling
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE EIGHT RUNNERS TONIGHT AT YARMOUTH SWIFT CARLO, TOO WRIGTH, SWIFT UNDERWATER, WRIGHTY, TIFFIELD TARQUIN, WRONG NOT WRIGHT, MR JAMES AND SWIFT DEPOT.
THURSDAY THE 4TH OF SEPTEMBER
A nice morning cool and dry ideal for the main job of the day trialing in Kilkenny I’m back at the vets this morning and we also need food for pups as normal on a Thursday we have to be fed up early and will update the dog for sale page tonight around five o’clock with all trials and handslips. Depot too Swift at Yarmouth
Swift Depot smashed the track record with a scintillating success in the heats of the Click Competitions 79th East Anglian Greyhound Derby at Yarmouth on Wednesday evening.
A finalist in the event 12 months ago, the John Mullins-trained dog rushed into an early lead out wide and drew further clear as the race went on to take seven spots off the previous record by clocking a brilliant 27.10 (+20).
It was one-two for the Mullins kennel as he came home seven lengths clear of Mr James, with Aayamza Dancer filling the final qualifying spot.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNER LAST NIGHT AT YARMOUTH TIFFFIELD TARQUIN AND SWIFT DEPOT IN THE YARMOUTH DERBY ALSO TOO WRIGHT AND MR JAMES QUALIFIED FOR THE NEXT ROUND AND SWIFT DEPOT IS THE NEW TRACK RECORD HOLDER AT YARMOUTH AFTER DOING 27.10 LAST NIGHT. WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT HOVE SWIFT JARVIS, AND AT NEWCASTLE SWIFT BULLSEYE.
FRIDAY THE 5TH OF SEPTEMBER
A nice day no chance of rain and not too hot, its a day of maintenance work and the rest of the day will be took up with brining broods down to the pupping down area. putting small pups into the raring paddocks and four week old pups into the big sheds

SATURDAY THE 6TH OF SEPTEMBER
An overcast morning but hopefully it will stay dry. Were getting the grass cut in the rearing paddocks for the last time this year. We need meat, all the waste has to go to the dump. We need supplies from the Cash and Carry and we need to collect collars and muzzles on the way back. We will also change the beds in the houses of the rearing paddocks. A hound worth a mention Curious Callie (previously called Swift Callie) who is a March 2024 lady, had her first race in Cork last night winning in 28.71 FTON.

SUNDAY THE 7TH OF SEPTEMBER
A typical Sunday where we tidy the website up , do the paperwork and prepare for a busy week . We had visitors who are always welcome. We have a brood having pups so she will have to be watched all day.
