MONDAY THE 14TH OF JULY
We are doing the journal a day behind as there was no internet connection for three days thankfully everything is back to normal. We have done major work on the gallop and we had three van loads of hedge cuttings removed from it yesterday , we gave it a good rake and we also gave the sides good strimming so its back to being brand new . We had to fed up early owning to the heat . We got the 202 van serviced and the day went well.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD THREE RUNNERS AT MONMORE BANDANNA BONO AND AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT OILEAN AND SWIFT HOME.
TUESDAY THE 15TH OF JULY
The rain has finally arrived and cooled everything down and we needed it for the rearing paddocks and the gallop. I had a early start today as I had to meet Ross Myles with the first two hounds leaving for the UK at 5 am at junction 14 services . I have been to the dump , cash and carry and I also had met Darren Ryan with a hound that is going to Wales at 10 am at junction 17 services. At the kennels we had 50 dogs at the back of the drag this morning on the gallop. I have a few more bits and pieces to collect and that is as much as we can do today.

WEDNESDSY THE 16TH OF JULY
A warm overcast day . I had a friend here from England who’s just left on the 1:55 pm fast ferry. I have been to collect muzzles . Also been to the cash and carry and on the way back I had to collect a few parts for both vans .I took the vat to the accountants and just as well I did as she is away for a 6 week holiday on this Saturday. Newcastle united are very close to signing Hugo Ekitike so more fantastic news.
As soon as we get our open race runners we will update them on our journal.
THURSDAY THE 17TH OF JULY
We are completely up to date with work from worming all the hounds to getting everything serviced. Yesterday we needed food for pups , we collected the last brood from cuddy’s stud , all the paperwork is posted off and the only thing left to do is take the photographs of our June 2024 saplings in the next day or two.

FRIDAY THE 18TH OF JULY
An overcast day and looks like we will get rain . We need our waste away to the dump. I’m also going to the vets and the main job of the day is galloping 50 hounds and hunting young pups.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT NEWCASTLE UNANIMOUS KAI .TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT WAGER.
SATURDAY THE 19TH OF JULY
Another overcast day but no rain. Meat has never been as short as it is at the minute in Southern Ireland but thankfully our suppliers are keeping us going. We have checked the broods to see if anymore are in season and we also checked to see if they’re in pup. Up to now we have four in pup form four mated at Cuddys Stud. Swift Vicky who lives in the house with me has a rough week last week with the heat but shes brand new with it being a bit cooler this week. We started the never ending job of cutting hedges. We done a tidy up and the day has gone well. Its the first of the Newcastle United friendlies this afternoon against Celtic.

SUNDAY THE 20TH OF JULY
It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will also get caught up with paprwork.
