Another nice day and the first job of the day was to collect broods from droopys stud , I also have been in cash and carry , collect a new fridge for the kennels. We have been fixing the fences in the rearing paddocks . I ordered all the supplies for the coming week . We have broods due to have pups so we are watching them .A fourth successive Premier League victory continued Newcastle’s charge for Champions League qualification on Sunday, a comprehensive dismantling of Manchester United propelling them into fourth place.

TUESDAY THE 15TH OF APRIL
We are doing the journal at 12 lunchtime as it was a busy morning. Ross Myles right hand man Darragh has collected hounds that are sold going to the UK. I have been food for pups from the supermarket and a hole heap of bits and pieces from dealz and the hardware shop. We had the vet doing passport work and John O’Reily checking hounds that are schooling. I going to collect meat next and pagie is going to worm pups and trim their nails. Also we are making boxes and beds for mothers and pups.
WEDNESDAY THE 16TH OF APRIL
We had heavy rain over night and as we do the journal at 11 am it is still pouring from the heavens. We have been to the vets for our weekly trip . We have getting all our waste away and the next job is collecting posts and pillars to redo the fencing in the rearing paddocks. We need tires for the 191 van and whatever happens tonight I will watch Newcastle united against Crystal Palace on the TV win tonight will put us well on the way for a Champions League spot.
THURSDAY THE 17TH OF APRIL
A nice dry day and a busy day . I was back in the vets this morning . We had a brood have her pups overnight , she had eight in an hour and 10 minutes , mother and pups doing fantastic . There was fish to collect from Northern Ireland. We had to have all hounds fed up early as the main job of the day was trialing in Kilkenny. Newcastle took full advantage of their Premier League game in hand by ripping apart the Eagles at St. James’ Park on Wednesday evening.
With Eddie Howe still unavailable, Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones again took charge as an unchanged side extended their winning run to six games and made it a dozen goals scored in just three outings.
FRIDAY THE 18TH OF APRIL
We had heavy rain all day on Friday. The first job was to collect chicken, tripe and beef. I’ve never seen the roads as busy on Friday. Another brood had pups. Mother and pups are doing fantastic. We did a tidy up. It was a long miserable day owing to the rain. A pup well worthy of a mention is Swift Hot who has had four races at Clonmel and has won them all. She did 28.68 last night fastest time of the night. Her two sectionals were absolute top drawer.
