MONDAY THE 7TH OF SEPTEMBER
It’s been a overcast day but the rain holds off, we needed food for pups from the supermarket which was one of the first jobs, we had beds to change in the kennels the paper work all to post off we had to do another major tidy up the 191 van has to go to the the mechanic tonight as there is another water leak so I have to look at changing the van. We had delivery of dog bagged dog food, we had to move hounds around as we have two broods due to have pups, we had all hounds fed early for the main job of today trialing in Kilkenny and whatever happens we will do the open race runners and winners this week as I didn’t do them last week other than last Monday.

TUESDAY THE 8TH OF SEPTEMBER
A bright cold morning and we are starting to inject young pups, worm them and trim there nails, change the beds in the rearing houses and that will take all day. We have a delivery coming from Time dog food the van is to collect from the mechanic. The sales department had a very busy week thanks to everybody who bought a hound. Newcastle United are play tonight so I will watch the game and everything is going well at the kennels.
The two articles below are about our two open race winners last night taking from the racing post and greyhound star
There were several opens on Monday’s Nottingham card, with Terry Munslow’s classy local bitch Swift Kipper (29.62sec, +50) fastest of the three Arc Standard Trophy heat winners over the 500m course.
Swift Odran kicked things off, getting away better than he had been in recent starts to reverse the form with No Regrets who had finished in front of him on their last two starts. He has four graded wins and an open over four bends at this track but seems just as happy over the 305m distance which gives his connections plenty of options.
