MONDAY THE 22ND OF JUNE
The forecast for the next few days is very hot weather so all of our hounds will have to be watched and especially the pups and saplings in the rearing paddocks. I day tripped England for cereal. We are going to do a bit of a tidy up , do maintenance work on the gallop and as normal on a Monday we need a load of supplies.

TUESDAY THE 23RD OF JUNE
We had no problems with the hot weather thank goodness. We got our waste away. We had meat to collect , food for pups from the supermarket and it was another day spent monitoring mother and pups , hounds and saplings. We also changed the beds in the kennels.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT HARLOW BAGGINS LAD.
WEDNESDAY THE 24TH OF JUNE
We are trying to feed up early owing to the heat , today we had every hound fed by 9am as they just won’t eat when it gets to hot. I was at the vets. We had a delivery of dog food. Continued on tiding up. We got the cerement mixer brought back and did a bit of maintenance work
THURSDAY THE 25TH OF JUNE
No trials in Kilkenny today owing to the heat so we are now trialing in Shelbourne on Monday the 29th of June. I’m having trouble with my right knee with gout so I’m off to see a quack and start on a diet as I had a fortnight of hell with it and typical me after being at to the doctors and hospital and eating and drinking all the wrong foods it will be another day where we are fed up early , changing water’s several times a day and what ever happens we will take photographs of our April and May 2025 saplings and add them to greyhound data so they can be viewed.
FRIDAY THE 26TH OF JUNE
Today was the hottest day of this hot spill as we do the journal on Saturday afternoon it has cooled down thank goodness and also my gout has started to easy off in my knee , I never had pain like it and I also have started a diet and cut out a load of foods what makes my gout worse so bacon and sausage and puddings have gone for my breakfast to poached eggs and porridge or scramble eggs or just toast , I’m having salads on a lunchtime and chicken in the evening no pops or cakes or sweets and I’m also going on an injection to lose the weight thankfully its the summer so I’m eating plenty of berries

SATERDAY THE 27TH OF JUNE
A lot cooler thank goodness today and it looks like we are going to get rain. We are doing a major tidy up. Had meat to collect. All waste away to the dump and we have been taking photographs and putting them on to greyhound data and the day has gone well

SUNDAY THE 28TH OF JUNE
It will be a typical Sunday where we tidy the website up , cook , clean and feed and do all paper work and probably continue on with the tidy up .
