The first part of the Knocklong trials are updated. We will be going back Saturday and Sunday with everything else that is for schooling. Its been a hectic start to the month as Swift Baby had her pups last night. Mother and pups doing fantastic. We have had a bit of rain which has softened the paddocks. We have had a few supplies delivered. Its a full time job monitering pups and on a personal note, Im sure Im having a serious attempt at killing myself after my fall the other day, I felt alot better last night and tryes to exercise my trotting horse (square bone pacer) He is a stallion and I have been advised by every horse man to have him guelded but took no notice as he has been like a childs pony up to now. He took off with me and was impossible to hold or control. I lost the use of one hand as I was pulling on the rains so hard and there was no hope at all of stopping him. I missed Kevin White, a local resident by a hair. When I finally got him under control, he then decided he was going to climb on top of some parked cars. So I turned him around 10 km from home and I thought Id make him come back full pelt to learn him a lesson and correct him with the whip. As he has never been touched by me before, he went mad ( Ive had him 18 month ) and he was again out of control with me hanging on to him for grim life. So I had to drive him into a field completely off the road where I had to send for the local horse community to rescue me. So if anybody is looking for a cheap trotting horse, Ive certinly got one. The vet is coming on Tuesday to gueld him before somebody gets killed. So the whole of Kildangan the nearest little village to me are having the best laugh theyve had in years at my expence and it just shows you how an animal can change in a second. I could shout at him by name (Christy) and he would walk to me. You could tie him anywhere and he would stand like an old hack. He was completely bomb proof. An artic could pass him and he wouldnt flinch. He could hear a gun go off and it didnt bother him. Anybody who seen him would tell you he was in prime condition so the only good I can take out of this is we dont put our animals down, dogs or horses and he will end off being another pet at Lughill. The computer doctor is splitting his sides laughing as he reads this. |
