At the first bend he had caught up to him but with it being his first time to pass, nearly collided. Then he went wide and cut back in on the inside to pass. The leading dog cut him off as they were now at the second bend. They straightened up in the back straight and went by him on the outside like a knife through butter. Won the trial bt 3-4 lenghts and drew well clear of him by the pickup. He will definately staye a min of 525. If he keeps on going like he is he is a certainty fo majour competitions. The questions Ive been asked wjich I cant answer: 'Will he have early pace', 'What will be his best distance', 'Where does he run the track', the ones I can answer are hes honest and if he keeps on improving like he is as his time would have been better in a solo handslip hes that dog in a million...(24/02) Hes only had one handslip, never seen a drag hare and we have a long way to go before he competes at the highest level which if he keeps these times up he certinley will. Hes never been galloped owing to the weather and was straight off his bed.
